The loss of a true Gentleman, Husband, Father, & Grandpa. Glendale resident and LA Times employee for over 35 years. Past President of Temple Sinai Glendale. Relocated to Indio in 2006. Preceded in death by Max and Pearl Mestel. He will be sorely missed by wife, Harriet Horowitz, daughters, Rory Shaw(John), Vicki Penna(John), grandchildren Will, Allison, Ashley, and Evelyn. Services were held Wed., Nov. 3, 2010 at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills, Tanach Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Gene's memory.
