Some Special Pictures from Frank Myers

Frank Myers with some of the radio equipment he used in Ham Radio Frank's Home-built Beam Antenna
These pictures were taken about 1950. My receiver was a Hammerland HQ-129-X, a very good receiver at that time. Next to it is a power supply and a modulator for my 10-meter transmitter on the lower right. The unit in the lower left is my first transmitter for 40-meter CW

My antenna was a home-built stacked array for the 10-meter band, and it was very effective. The high sunspot activity made Amateur bands really hot; I talked to Johannesburg, So. Africa using only 30 watts

My call-sign at the time was W6ZWU. I dropped out of ham radio for a few years, and got relicensed as N6ATU
